50 Cent Develops Diddy Abuse Allegations Docuseries for Netflix
Curtis 50 Cent Jackson is bringing a high-profile docuseries to Netflix, focused on the sexual assault, racketeering, and sex trafficking allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, the series is currently in production, with the intention of revealing a complex and far-reaching narrative that spans decades, according to an exclusive statement to Variety.
“This is a story with significant human impact,” 50 Cent and Stapleton explained. “While the allegations are disturbing, we must not allow individual actions to overshadow hip-hop’s broader cultural contributions.”
The docuseries follows multiple lawsuits and criminal charges brought against Combs, beginning with a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in late 2023, which triggered a flood of allegations. More recently, Combs has been arrested on multiple counts, including sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, as well as racketeering. Combs has pleaded not guilty but remains in custody.
Since then, other allegations have surfaced, including claims from former employees and associates, adding to the complex narrative surrounding Combs’ legal troubles. The project will also use proceeds to support victims of sexual assault, in line with 50 Cent’s commitment to giving a voice to the voiceless.
Combs, who has long denied these claims, made headlines with a statement posted on social media, proclaiming, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.” He has vowed to fight for his name and legacy, yet the docuseries aims to explore the deeper impact of these allegations on the broader culture of hip-hop.
The series is expected to offer a nuanced, long-term look at the accusations and their implications, with the hope of shedding light on the truths behind the headlines.
