MzVee Opens Up About Eye Condition and Struggles with Vision

Ghanaian singer MzVee, who has been in the music industry for years, continues to thrive despite parting ways with Lynx Entertainment. In a recent video post, she opened up about her eye condition, revealing that she suffers from astigmatism—a condition that causes blurry vision due to an irregularly shaped eyeball.

MzVee recently traveled to undergo laser eye surgery, hoping to correct her vision. However, doctors informed her that she was not eligible for the procedure due to the unique shape of her eyeballs. While alternative solutions exist, they were deemed not advisable in her case.

She also mentioned that even contact lenses aren’t a comfortable option for her, as she requires hard lenses, which can be difficult to wear for long periods. As a result, she has no choice but to rely on glasses.

MzVee explained that her parents discovered her condition late, which made it challenging for her to grow up. She revealed that without glasses, everything appears blurry, making it difficult to recognize people unless she wears them.

Although some fans may have recently noticed her wearing glasses, she clarified that she has been using them since the age of 8, but inconsistently. She also addressed misconceptions—some people may think she’s ignoring them or being rude, but in reality, her poor vision makes it hard to see people.

Despite these challenges, MzVee remains focused on her career, proving that nothing can hold her back.
