I’m Jobless Xandy Kamel Opens Up About Life After Angel TV
Ghanaian media personality Xandy Kamel has revealed the struggles she’s faced after being home for years. In an interview with ZionFelix, Xandy candidly shared updates about her current situation and career in 2025, stating that she is currently jobless and focusing on her personal production projects.
Xandy clarified that she wouldn’t describe her situation as being fired, but rather as a result of unfair treatment following management changes at Angel TV. According to her, management asked her to “stay home temporarily” due to restructuring, with promises of contacting her for new shows—a promise that was never fulfilled.
“They kept saying they were planning a new show for me, but every year, management changed, and nothing happened,” she said. While Angel FM remained active, she noted that Angel TV struggled to maintain stability.
Xandy also reflected on the sacrifices she made for the station. She recounted an incident involving a ghost blogger named ABA.THE.GREAT, who published a damaging story about the station’s owner. Despite the story being backed by strong evidence, Xandy went behind the scenes to plead with the blogger to delete the post—a gesture she believes went unnoticed by the management.
She further revealed that she handled 3–4 shows at the station, despite being initially hired for just one. Even after the station’s offices caught fire in 2021, she remained loyal, enduring without a salary, which she described as “nothing to write home about.”
Now, Xandy says she is surviving through advertisements, support from her partner, and her mother. Despite not receiving perks like company cars that were given to others, she remains content and grateful, saying:
“I never demanded anything. I’m content with what I have, and with God by my side, I know I won’t go hungry.”
