Johnny Depp Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at Rome Film Festival, ‘Modi’ to Screen
Johnny Depp is set to receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Rome Film Festival, where his latest directorial project Modi will be screened. The film delves into a turbulent 72-hour period in the life of renowned bohemian artist Amedeo Modigliani as he navigates personal chaos in war-torn Paris during 1916. *Modi*, starring Antonia Desplat and Riccardo Scamarcio, portrays the artist’s struggles with his career, the law, and encounters with fellow artists, culminating in a night of hallucinations and a life-altering meeting with an American art collector.
Following its debut at the San Sebastian Film Festival, Modi continues to captivate audiences with its intense portrayal of an artist on the edge.
In addition to Depp’s honors, Viggo Mortensen will also receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival. His film The Dead Don’t Hurt, set in the American West of the 1860s, tells the poignant story of star-crossed lovers caught in the upheaval of the Civil War.
The 2024 Rome Film Festival, running from October 16-27, will celebrate these cinematic achievements, marking a significant year for both actors and their captivating films.
