Kwaku Manu Shares His Real Estate Journey and Advice for Diasporans Looking to Build in Ghana
Ghanaian actor and content creator Kwaku Manu has opened up about his personal experience building a house and how it led him to venture into real estate. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ghanaian blogger and YouTuber ZionFelix, Kwaku Manu revealed that his six-bedroom house took him five years to complete, with construction starting in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic slowed progress in 2020.
Despite now having his own home and no landlord pressuring him to move, he admitted that he constantly pushes himself toward new goals. “Every human should set a budget and target to achieve something in life,” he advised, emphasizing the importance of planning and discipline in personal and financial growth.
Challenges in Construction and Lessons Learned
Kwaku Manu acknowledged that real estate development is not for the weak, as it involves managing laborers, contractors, and unforeseen challenges. He recounted an experience where he and fellow actress Rose Akua Attaa Mensah known in the industry as Kyeiwaa hired the same contractor, only to discover that the individual was secretly using their funds to build his own house while neglecting theirs. This incident motivated Kwaku Manu to take a more hands-on approach to construction and eventually start helping others build homes in Ghana.
He explained that his team:
Helps find verified land (or builds on a client’s existing property)
Assists with land documentation and legal verification at the Lands Commission
Provides budget-friendly construction plans
Ensures projects are completed on schedule, sometimes within six months, as long as funds are available
His message to the diaspora community was clear: “If you are ready to build in Ghana, you only need to provide the funds, and we will handle everything for you.”
