MUSIGA President Bessa Simons Honored with Music Legend Award at Ghana Business Awards
The President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has been honored with the prestigious Music Legend award at the 7th Ghana Business Awards, held recently at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra. Recognized for his impactful contributions to the Ghanaian music industry, Simons joins past recipients like Highlife icon Amandzeba, who received the award last year.
Expressing his gratitude, Simons said, “I am highly elated by the honour and thank the organizers for the recognition. I dedicate it to the members of MUSIGA for their support.”
The awards ceremony also celebrated influential business leaders and innovators across diverse sectors who have contributed to Ghana’s national development. Hon. Egyapa Mercer, Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture, commended the business community for their dedication to Ghana’s progress. His speech, delivered by Chief Director Patrick Ankobiah, highlighted the potential of the tourism and arts sectors in job creation.
Globe Productions’ CEO, Latif Abubakar, expressed appreciation to the business community for their continued support of the awards, which aim to showcase excellence in Ghana’s business landscape.
