Sinners’ Trailer – Michael B. Jordan Battles Evil in a Chilling 1930s Thriller from Ryan Coogler
The first trailer for Sinners, the highly anticipated supernatural thriller starring Michael B. Jordan and directed by Ryan Coogler, has finally arrived. Set for a March 7, 2025, release by Warner Bros., Sinners takes audiences on a terrifying journey through the Jim Crow-era South.
This marks the fifth collaboration between Coogler and Jordan, with the two first teaming up in 2013 for Fruitvale Station and continuing their partnership through the Creed and Black Panther franchises. Coogler, who also wrote the script, has kept details about Sinners tightly under wraps since the project’s announcement in January. Filmed in New Orleans, the movie is set in the 1930s and blends historical tensions with supernatural horror.
Jordan, who is rumored to play twins in the film, teased the project on social media by sharing a striking poster featuring him in dual costumes, accompanied by the cryptic caption: “Dance with the devil…and he’ll follow you home.” This chilling tagline has further fueled speculation about the dark, otherworldly forces at play in the film.
The ensemble cast boasts a mix of veterans and rising stars. Alongside Jordan, Sinners features Delroy Lindo, Jack O’Connell, Hailee Steinfeld, Omar Benson Miller, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, and Lola Kirke. Newcomers Yao, Miles Caton, and Peter Dreimanis round out the cast. The film’s release is set for IMAX, enhancing its immersive, intense experience.
Produced by Coogler’s Proximity Media, with Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Ludwig Göransson, and Rebecca Cho serving as executive producers, the project is a reunion with Warner Bros. for Coogler and Jordan after their success with Creed III. Cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw, who worked on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, has also returned for this project, adding to the team’s familiar collaborative spirit.
As excitement builds for Sinners, it’s clear that this horror thriller will not only showcase Coogler’s storytelling prowess but also continue to cement Jordan’s legacy as a leading force in Hollywood. Stay tuned for more updates as the March 2025 release approaches.
